Local Roads
During the summer there's a bus service between Ithaki and most outlying settlements - Leyki, Stavros, Frikes and Kioni. The island also has decent taxi services. As in most greek islands you'll be able to rent a car, scooter, bicycles and most notably a boat. We suggest renting a boat - if you have a license.

Final Notes
Ithaki is an island that's worth getting to know. It's still underdeveloped - which makes it very charming and picturesque. It's preferable to walk or rent a bike to renting a car - and using taxis or the bus for longer distances. A boat is the best as you'll be able to reach the more secluded beaches.
