The beach of Agios Gordios  is situated on the western side of the island, directly south from Corfu town,  and is a resort beach. The beach is within walking distance of various hotels and rooms to let. The beach offers a lot of facilities and marine sports and games and is one of the few that offers scuba diving lessons. As it has achieved Blue Flag status the beach also has a lifeguard on call. The waters are quite warm as they are relatively sheltered by mainland Greece and Corfu. The Municipality of Esperion also offers a free bus service three times a week for all the beaches though these are a bit hard to find - so its preferable to use the first two options.

The sandy beach of Astrakeri is situated on the northwestern side of the island and is an organized resort beach with numerous hotels and rooms to let within walking distance. The beach is organized and offers various water sports activities. The beach has a length of about 400m. The flora is typical of the northwest of Corfu consisting mainly of cypress and olive trees.

This pleasant walk is on the road that winds round the mountain of Pantokrator. 30 minutes may sound long but it gives you the chance to visit the ancient ruins of the Gardiki Castle as well as the Prehistoric Cave of Grava.The rroad to the beach is properly signposted and you shouldn't have trouble reaching the beach. 2. The more convenient means of getting there is by car or secondly by motorcycle. Situated 25 kilometres from Corfu town the drive takes about 40 minutes given the winding road and the summer traffic. Taking the main road southwards you drive past the villages of Benitses and then Moraitika. Approximately 2 kilometres past Moraitika you turn off right at the road signposted for Agios Mathaios. 2 Kilometres after the turnoff you turn left just before the road climbs towards the village of Agios Mathaios. After this turnoff the road splits, you take the right turn and in less than 5 minutes you reach the Prasoudi beach turnoff on your left.
